Everyday singing helps to get rid of snoring and sleep apnea (stopping of breathing movements), according to the British scientists, whose research was published in the International Journal of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
They came to this conclusion after conducting a research, which involved 127 patients suffering from sleep apnea and snoring.
Subjects in the first group has been singing for 20 minutes every day according to the special program. Members of the second control group hadn’t been subjected to any impact.
Three months later it turned out that the “vocal” group members have shown significant changes: the intensity, frequency and loudness of snoring decreased, as well as the frequency and duration of apnea episodes and the sleep quality improved.
